Miltenberg

After a jam packed day in Wurzburg and Rothenburg today was a bit more sedate. We arrived at Miltenberg for a home hosting experience. We will be going to host families for coffee and cakes and experience some good German hospitality. We were divided into groups  of varying numbers and we somehow drew the 10 person group. Our hostess was Silvia and had prepared coffee and cakes for us. We talked about her family and their life. It was interesting to hear about the cost of living in Germany.

Power costs around 250 Euro per month and the same for gas. To get a licence will cost 3000 Euro and you must use the accredited training and testing people, and a further 2000 Euro for a motorcycle license. We even got to meet Hugo, Silvia's dog, who loved the extra attention. All too soon our time was over and we were back on board heading to the next stop, Rudesheim.

The rest of the day we were unwinding and trying to shake the lurgy. After dinner was another scattegories game with several objections to some of the very loose answers. We sailed through the night to our next port Rudesheim
